The Choice is Yours: Choose your unique 1-bedroom expanded apartment. Each boasts unique features and range from 700-1200 sq. ft. of space. Residents can enjoy:1-2 baths, kitchen (full sized stove, refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher), personal laundry room and ample storage. Services at 5th Avenue offer a selection of as little or as much as you desire. These include a Simply Care Package alone or with a full menu of both hospitality and healthcare services (up to and including certified RCAC assistance). 5th Avenue apartments also allows for independent living.
Our tenants and staff often know each other in this warm, interesting community which has a nice selection of churches, shopping, parks, museum, library and medical services.
5th Avenue Simply Care
Each 5th Avenue apartment is offered with your choice of TWO services from the following list at no additional charge:
•Weekly assist with bathing
•Twice daily medication reminder with carestaff witness and sign-off record
•Weekly apartment cleaning with washing and replacing of linens
•Assist with transportation to monthly medical visits
•Daily breakfast served in The Homplace dining room
•Daily supper served in The Homeplace dining room

•All care-giving staff members respond to the health care needs of all tenants as the needs arise. Family conferences are arranged as tenant needs change as part of the service to all. Our activities director enjoys leading everyone in exercises, games and other programs.
•Delicious meals are prepared by our cooks at Alberta May's Restaurant (located in our Stanley complex). We feature home cooked meals. Each HOMEPLACE also has an on-site preparation and serving kitchen.
•From the time a decision is made to move to one of our HOMEPLACES, we offer as many choices as possible. This freedom of choice is shown in many ways: from the range of options for personal care to freedom in decorating an apartment. Over time, as the tenants' physical and medical needs change, our facilities and staff seamlessly transition the services to accommodate almost any needs. In our RCAC Assisted Living Apartments we can provide up to 28 hours of care each week. In our CBRF Haven Alzheimer's & Dementia care units we provide unlimited care. Our tenants and residents retain their freedom and independence as much as possible by having their own apartment homes, while receiving selected services. Couples can stay together. Family members can visit and even make reservations to use our guest rooms. Friends and family are always welcome to enjoy meals with tenants.
